Shoulder

Background

The shoulder is formed via several articulations, muscles, ligaments, and bursas.  All structures in the shoulder work together so that you can do activities such as reaching and lifting without pain.  The shoulder joint is a complex joint that has high mobility but will often lack stability.  Injury may occur when a person experiences muscle imbalances due to lack of strength and/or flexibility in certain muscles.
